We are recruiting for a new position of Head of Service for our award-winning charity. As an experienced and engaging leader, you will coach, develop and manage a high-performing team providing an end-to-end recruitment and support service to our candidates and employer organisation. You will report into the Managing Director and, as a member of the leadership team, will be involved in setting and implementing the strategic direction of the organisation.

This is a pivotal role within an evolving organisation. The successful candidate will have a strong commercial acumen and track record of building and managing relationships with businesses and internal stakeholders, coupled with an excellent ability to lead, coach and motivate a diverse team. To work with Employment Solutions team to generate referrals to the Building Better Opportunities project ensuring eligibility criteria is evidenced. COMMUNITY CONNECTOR - LONG TERM HEALTH & DISABILITY

CHATHAM OR TONBRIDGE WITH TRAVEL ACROSS SE  UP TO £21,015 PA - 37 HOURS PER WEEK/ FULL TIME/PERMANENT 

Main purpose of job:

SCDA has recently secured funding through the Big Lottery and ESF to provide intensive and ongoing practical employment support for disadvantaged people with long term health issues or disabilities to move into sustainable volunteering, education, training or employment. The project will follow the principles of social prescribing to enable SCDA to engage with those who will benefit from it the most. Effective relationships with the medical and health sectors are central to the success of the project.

Overview of the Role & Team:

The Community Connector is responsible for providing intensive 1:1 information, advice, guidance and support to an allocated caseload of participants to address employability skills and secure sustainable volunteering, work trials and employment, including supported employment. Also to support the participants re/engagement with their community through signposting, referral and, when appropriate, accompanying them to the activity in line with their individual support plan.

Liaising with Project Navigators and the Project Manager to ensure the support provided is led by the participant and their support plan. To ensure referral to other services is aimed at meeting the participant’s needs and is moving them towards re/engagement with the community or into employment.

PROJECT NAVIGATOR - LONG TERM HEALTH & DISABILITY X 2

CHATHAM OR TONBRIDGE WITH TRAVEL ACROSS SE  £24,500 PA - 37 HOURS PER WEEK / FULL TIME/PERMANENT 

Main purpose of job:

The Project Navigator is responsible for creating and maintaining effective relationships with referral organisations in the medical and health sector, compiling participant referral maps, initial engagement with the participant and management of their ongoing involvement with the project to ensure their wellbeing, health, community engagement and employment needs are fully met. The Project Navigator will be supported by Community Connectors and Employability Trainers to help meet community engagement and employment needs.

Liaising with the Project Manager and project staff the Project Navigator will ensure participants engage with the project in an informed way and that support and referral to other services is aimed at meeting their needs and moving them towards employment.

Main purpose of job:
As part of the team delivering the DWP/ESF funded programme, to provide employability support to individuals who may have a range of barriers to employment, assisting them to overcome these through personalised support which promotes the benefits of working, equipping them with the tools to secure and sustain work.

You will be required to actively engage eligible customers onto the programme, promote the benefits of working, to identify & generate suitable job roles and to job match with participants accordingly; therefore achieving a high conversion of participants progressing into paid sustainable work.

Sales activity will be conducted through cold-calling/personal visits and leveraging existing Employer Accounts. The Account Manager will be promoting the opportunities in the delivery centres, matching the learners to the placements and ensuring their sustainability for the duration of the placement. You will also be mentoring a team with day to day issues, mentoring and guiding your team to succeed.
