Remploy, the UK’s largest disability specialist, has secured a place on the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) Umbrella framework for the provision of disability employment services in Wales.
With more than 70 years of experience in the specialist employment sector, Remploy has helped more than 100,000 disabled and disadvantaged people find sustained employment over the last six years. Gareth Parry, Chief Executive of Remploy said: “Remploy has unrivalled expertise in supporting disabled people into employment, and a strong track record of successfully delivering a wide range of employment related programmes. He added: “Competition for the framework was high, so we are delighted to be appointed in Wales and we will be exploring sub-contracting opportunities in other areas. Remploy is Merlin accredited and committed to working with partners, to co-design and co-deliver service to the highest standard.” Remploy has unique embedded links within communities across the UK via their network of specialist advisors working in branches, outreach sites and providing arms length support via digital engagement. Significant investment has also been made to develop the skills of employees through a variety of training schemes.
Gareth added: “Disability and health is integral to our work. At least 28 per cent of all Remploy colleagues, including at board level and across all parts of our business, have a disability or health condition and this gives us the additional skills, insight and empathy to be able support people into employment.”
